Ken Robotham

Growing up in a small coastal town, in West Coast Canada, surrounded by glacial-capped mountains and beautiful old growth forests, it’s no surprise Ken felt right at home the second he came to Brunswick Heads. Prior to nestling into the hinterland and finding joy in the simple pleasures of Bruns, Ken embraced the big city life in Sydney where he was always busy either treating, eating, or defeating – treating his wonderful patients; eating his bodyweight in delicious food; or defeating his opponents at his sport.

Ken is a former strength and conditioning specialist who has had the opportunity to work alongside world-renowned physiotherapists and athletes, where he managed core rehabilitation in sports including soccer, ice hockey, and basketball. In this capacity he developed a keen focus and interest in treating pelvic, hip, and groin injuries. That said it is clear hes someone who loves a good challenge.

Ken prides himself on being up-to-date with the most recent and relevant empirical research in order to provide his patients with the best treatment options available. His patient philosophy boils down to this: “My goal is to help you help yourself.” Ken’s priority is the longevity of his patients’ health. He is not only focused on helping them gain strength and mobility, but also confidence and independence. This is one of the reasons why he continuously emphasises the importance of health professionals being able to break down intimidating medical jargon into simple and straightforward explanations, so patients can leave knowing what the issue is and what is required to get them back at it.

Outside of the clinic, Ken can be found learning the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, cycling more kilometres than you would like to know, or bushbashing his way to find the ultimate swimming hole or secluded camping spot.
